The greatest advantage of the booster pump is its high pumping speed at a relatively low inlet pressure. However, it cannot be used alone; a forepump must be connected in series. The Roots vacuum pump can only start working when the pressure in the system to be pumped is reduced to the allowable inlet pressure of the Roots vacuum pump by the forepump. Generally, the Roots vacuum pump is not allowed to operate under high pressure difference. Otherwise, it will be damaged due to overload and overheating. Therefore, when using a Roots vacuum pump, it is necessary to reasonably select the pre-vacuum pump and install the necessary protective equipment.

The forepump can be a sliding vane pump or a rotary vane pump, water ring pump, oil ring pump and other vacuum pumps. Especially when extracting gases with a large amount of water vapor, it is ideal to choose a water ring vacuum pump as the forepump. Precision gears are adopted, so the operating noise is extremely low. The ZJP series is equipped with an internal relief valve, which enables the Roots vacuum pump and the forepump to start almost simultaneously under atmospheric conditions, thereby shortening the pumping time. The import and export flanges are precisely balanced in accordance with international standards, so the vibration is extremely low. It has a high pumping speed within the medium vacuum range, thereby reducing operating costs. Due to the strict control of the rotor and the gap between the rotor and the pump body, there is no friction between the moving parts inside the pump cavity. All flange components adopt "O" ring seals instead of silicone rubber flat seals, making maintenance more convenient. Selected bearings with good lubrication can greatly extend the service life of the pump. The pump cavity is oil-free lubricated, thus ensuring the dryness of the pump cavity
